Following the whirlwind unleashed by the piece, we sought ways to address the issue of unemployment and its consequences. Why did this happen? What caused it? Can we escape the trap we seem to have built for our country? Would another talk shop help? We thought we knew what was wrong and that we had to find ways to work through the morass and identify practical interventions and solutions.
