Liza Grobler | Visual Artist | South Africa

Liza Grobler (b. 1974) lives in Cape Town, South Africa. Her work explores the tangible qualities of materials and the connections between people, artworks and the world around us; her installations create dialogues with the spaces in which they are displayed. The viewer is encouraged to travel with her into an imaginary world where fact and fiction become one, everything is in flux, and anything is possible.

Her projects are often collaborative or site specific and are intended to  engage potential viewers physically by creating a surreal physicality – as if making a vivid dream tangible – but also to encourage viewers to become participants, active collaborators in the final outcome of the work.
