The Africa Centre could not achieve its objectives without the support and cooperation of like-minded organisations, companies and individuals. On this page, we salute those of you who have supported the work of the Africa Centre.

Funders

The Africa Centre is grateful to our funders who are equally passionate and committed to the work that we do. Our most successful initiatives are underwritten by partnerships with companies, organisations and other entities that engage with our ideas and participate in making the projects mutually beneficial – ensuring that our work is sustained for years to come.

Partners

It is at the project level that the Africa Centre receives and delivers the most benefit, thanks to collaboration with other institutions and organisations. Working in silos is a continued problem in Africa, where lack of institutional cohesion has the effect of limiting reach, reining in creativity and restricting scope. Harnessing the resources, connections and collateral of two institutions towards the realisation of one goal not only makes sense, but often takes the project and its institutions into exciting new territories.

Team

Since its inception in 2006, the Africa Centre has expanded and contracted according to the varying needs and organic stages of each project. The core organisational team of project managers works from the Africa Centre offices in Cape Town. However, the efforts of myriad experts and artistic practitioners significantly contribute to each project’s realisation. Below are the team members, both past and present, who have made the Africa Centre what it is, and what it continues to be.
