At Wikimania Washington in 2012, WikiAfrica’s need and vision were launched through the presentation below.
Travelling to Washington was not only a nerve-wracking experience, but delivering this presentation just after Jimbo Wales had discussed the need for Wikipedia to grow in the “Global South” during the conference’s opening address, knocked a bit of the force from my sails.
